[3.3.x] Support Forum • Update from 3.3.5 to 3.3.12 with General Error...

I tried to upgrade my phpBB3 forum from 3.3.5 to 3.3.12. Using Filezilla, I followed instructions at https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3 ... date_full/
Afterwards, I updated the database. Then, I deleted the install folder using Filezilla.
Then, I get the following error:

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'groups g ON (m.group_id = g.group_id) WHERE m.display_on_index = 1' at line 1 [1064]

An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.

I'm not sure what to try next. I've even tried to restore both files and database from an older (working) version, but no luck.
for php version, I've set my Siteground setting to PHP 7.4.33.
