It may be 3.3.0, but how do I update if I cannot even get into the ACP? I get an HTTP error 500 every time I try

You don't need to be logged in in order to update. You can update by uploading the files from the changed files package (or full package) and then see if you can login.

I have never done this before, from what I understand I would have to save the .config file and delete everything else (other than files/images/ext folders) using FileZilla then upload the Zip for the newest version and unpack it, then re-introduce my config file and that should get me updated?
