Are you sure ABBC code is the cause?
IIRC there is no native Twitter (and certainly not X) embed code. That would be provided by the phpBB Media extension, the latest version being 2.0.1 (June25, 2023)

I am using phpbb media extension 2.0.1 along with ABBC.

Strange. It appears an older embed post is working, but when I attempt to add a new embed it shows not found.

As a temporary measure, edit the link to twitter.com instead of x.com and it seems to work (at least with the media extension).

It seems the embed code is using x.com and it works fine in the older post. But I can't embed a tweet in a new post without it showing not found. So now I am really confused. My initial thought was wrong.
