Same here, disabled board. We're running on 8.1 for some time without any issues. However I don't know if this is enough for phpBB.

memory_limit = 32M

We use at least 128 M for all forums. 32M sounds way too low for me, but I could be wrong, might be enough for phpBB.

Still... error log should show more.
